Seaflex visits World Expo in Dubai

The exhibition, that took place between October 1st 2021 and March 31st 2022 had the theme “Connecting Minds – Creating the Future”.

Here, industry actors from Sweden were given the opportunity to join the single largest effort to promote Swedish export and investments. The trip allowed Swedish companies to find new international contacts and create new partnerships on the global market.

During a five day long visit to the exhibition, Sweden was represented by Seaflex, Region Västerbotten, Västerbottens Handelskammare, North Sweden Cleantech and a number of other important companies and organizations.

On stage, the companies had a chance to introduce themselves, their products and services. All attendees were also invited to visit the Seaflex-moored Palm Jumeirah marina – “the 8th wonder of the world”.

One of the key topics for discussion was how to improve international collaboration to promote sustainability – something that is very near and dear to us at Seaflex. During 2021 and 2022, Seaflex has been awarded no less than three different awards for the work being done to promote a sustainable mooring technology in the marina and renewable energy industry: the Monaco Marinas Coup de Coeur, the ICOMIA Golden Cleat Award and, most recently, the Swedish Boating Unions Environmental Award.

When Seaflex CEO Lars Brandt was interviewed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) earlier this year, he highlighted the importance of industry actors coming together and collaborating to promote sustainability. The Dubai World Expo is a great example of such a platform that creates opportunities for global collaborations and partnerships also at smaller scales with the shared purpose of creating a better future together.

The visit has resulted in a number of new contacts for Seaflex, and we’re very grateful for the continued efforts made by the Swedish government to promote Swedish companies globally.
