Spotlight: Innovative FPV project in Holland

This project uses an innovative solution to move the panels and increase energy yield.

The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) has launched an innovative research project to develop and optimize floating solar applications.

This is the first real-life installation using the innovative PROTEVS® system, which enables the floating solar panels to move the 130 modules around its axis, tracking the optimal sunlight exposure and increasing the energy output with as much as 40%!

This 50kW test project was installed in Holland, where SolarisFloat – the company behind PROTEVS® – worked in close partnership with Sunprojects, an innovative EPC working to expand in the Dutch market.

As part of the work to evaluate the performance and success of floating photovoltaic solutions, the choice of Seaflex as the preferred mooring system should come as no surprise.
